Re-Taking a Summative Assessment (Test)
Criteria for a Summative Assessment Retake
  • Parent has to be notified of a failed summative assessment.
  • Parent has to acknowledge that a retake will take place.
  • Student MUST be the one to take ownership and request retake.
  • A retake is allowed if the student scores below 75% on the summative assessment.
  • The maximum score to be earned on a retake is 75%.
  • Retakes must take place either before or after school, not during the school day.
  • Student has one week from the date the original summative is returned in which to retake the summative.
  • The retake will be a new version of the summative, similar to the original.
  • Students may only retake up to three summatives during the school year.
